Gold Medal Walkthrough

Before starting the mission, ensure that Franklin has full health and armor.

Start the Trackify app on Franklin’s phone as soon as you can and go to rescue Michael. To get the gold medal, you need to find him within 03:30 and don’t use a map waypoint. Michael’s location is a meat factory called Raven Slaughterhouse located in Cypress Flats.

Another two gold medal requirements are to shoot with a shooting accuracy of at least 70% and to kill 10 enemies with a headshot. Use a shotgun to fulfill them while playing as Franklin.

Once the game switches you to Michael, start shooting at enemies using his special ability. First, shoot the closest ones. Try to shoot in the head while the special abilities are active.

Don’t switch between the characters. One of the gold medal requirements is to switch no more than 3 times. The game will switch you to Franklin by itself soon. Go forward along the corridor, eliminating enemies, until the game switches you to Michael again.

Activate Michael’s special ability and shoot down the thug with a knife which attacking Franklin now. Next, play as Michael, until you get to the exit from the slaughterhouse.

When you get to the cars, you can switch to Franklin to use his special ability while driving. But this is optional.

Get in one of the cars. After that, two more thugs will appear. It’s better to kill them immediately and then get to Michael’s house without any troubles, after which the mission will end.

Trivia

• Michael and Trevor will not be able to hang out with each other again until the completion of The Third Way story mission.
• Most of the intro cutscene was improvised by Steven Ogg and Shawn Fonteno. According to the script, Trevor should not have fallen.
